Where in the world is this?
Well, “It’s just down the way”, as they say.
In this instance, sort of out of my front door, down the path and, on to the beach. And no, this doesn’t happen every day. This is a “one off” of sorts – a “calm before the storm” as they say. At the time this image was taken, Super Typhoon Rammasun (Glenda) was approaching and then, it skirted around to the south of where I am currently. So, where does this put me?
The easy part is, I’m in Hong Kong. This image was taken in the early hours of the morning on Hung Shing Yeh Beach on Lamma Island. Where’s that? Just off Hong Kong – as in one of the “Out-lying Islands” as the various islands around Hong Kong are usually referred to locally. This image was taken a day before the typhoon moved into and passed through the region. Enjoy…
TECHNICAL NOTES: This image was taken using a Fujifilm X-T1 digital capture device coupled with a Fujinon Super EBC XF 18-55 f/2.8-4 R LM OIS lens.
