Where in the world is this?

Read somewhere that the Year of the Dragon (2012) was going to be a year of ups and down – just like the serrated edge of a dragon’s back, this as pictured in a kiddies depiction of a dragon or a dinosaur.
Then, more or less from similar sources, read somewhere that the Year of the Snake (2013) was going to be a year of profound if not significant changes.
Of the last, this past Lunar Year is not yet done and yes, its been something of a year of profound changes. 2012 may have been something a ride. This past year has been what its been and I’m still wondering what’s hit me.
Change is sometimes associated with growth. In order for a snake, or any other reptile for that matter, to grow, it needs to shed its skin. In this past year, it feels as though I’ve shed several skins. Have I grown as part of this process? Not sure at this stage. Still feel as though I’m deeply immersed in this process – as in shedding skins, clearing out the old and trying to make way and space for the new. And, still seem to be growing and trying to adapt to all the changes that have come this way in recent times.
With the Lunar New Year approaching (January 30) and the Year of the Horse is looming, will be interesting to see how things will evolve in the near future. More on all this another time.
These thoughts came to mind when editing the above image. Here some ladies are consulting a fortune-teller on Canal Road in Causeway Bay in Hong Kong.
